Ladan Salihu
Bauchi State Executive Council has disclosed that measures have been taken in order to address the challenges affecting the administration of budget in the state to enable it to come up with a robust budget for the coming fiscal year, 2020.
The disclosure was made by the State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Dr Ladan Salihu while addressing newsmen on the outcome of the Council’s meeting chaired by the state governor, Sen Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed.
The Commissioner also said that the Council has deliberated on the budget formulation in the areas of policy, planning and execution so as to prioritise on government projects in the formulation of the budget.

He added that the Council also approved that “all the 468 Nomadic Schools and their teachers are now to be under the control and supervision of the Bauchi State Agency for Nomadic Education”.
According to him: “The move is to ensure effective and efficient administration of the schools and monitoring of the teachers as prior to the Council’s meeting, there have been a lot of unresolved issues surrounding the management of the schools.”
On the payment of workers and pensioners entitlements, Dr Ladan Salihu said the Council has taken necessary measures to block leakages and ensure sanity in the state payroll.
