The Governorship Election Petition Tribunal in Bauchi State has permitted the All Progressive Congress (APC) to add more witnesses and submit the report of data analyst on the adjourned date of 9th July 2019.
The permission was granted on Monday during the Pre-hearing motion filed by the APC and its governorship candidate in the state for the 2019 general elections, Mohammed Abubakar against the victory of Governor Bala Mohammed.
During the pre-hearing sitting, counsel to the defendants, Chief Godi Uche (SAN) appealed to the tribunal to grant the two motions filed by them including preliminary objection seeking to dismiss the APC petition and a motion requesting the tribunal to strike out the petitioners’ reply in answer to the respondent’s reply to the petition.

While counsel to APC and Abubakar, Mike Osuman (SAN) filed an application before the tribunal requesting to add more witnesses that will testify in the case and to submit a report of a data analyst who analysed the election results.
However, the tribunal Chairman, Salihu Shuaibu reserved ruling on the PDP’s preliminary objection for the meantime and the second one seeking it to strike out the petitioners’reply in answer to the respondent’s reply to their petition to July 4th 2019.
