Bauchi govt, NEDC train teachers in STEMA education

The Bauchi State Ministry of Education, in collaboration with the North East Development Commission (NEDC), has organized a two-day capacity-building workshop for Capacity of 120 Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEMA) Teachers and 10 Principals from Ten selected schools in Bauchi state have been built.

This was done by the State Ministry of Education in collaboration with the North-East Development Commission (NEDC) held at the Government Girls College (GGC) Bauchi with focus on enhancing participants’ knowledge and skills in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, and Agriculture (STEMA).

The workshop aimed to equip the selected Teachers with modern teaching methodologies to improve teaching and learning outcomes across Bauchi State.

Speaking at the event, the Commissioner for Education, Dr. Jamila Dahiru, reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to empowering capacity of Teachers through capacity-building initiatives.

Represented by the Director of School Services, Hajiya Fatima Garba, the Commissioner expressed gratitude to NEDC and ASSEP for their support in advancing education in the state.

She expressed optimism in the ability of the participants to grasp the techniques that will be impacted on them and translate same to their teachings which will in turn improve learning and teaching.

The Commissioner then advised the participants to be attentive during the training and ask questions where they are not clear in order to achieve the aims of the training.

Some of the participants expressed gratitude to the Government for choosing them to participate in the capacity-building training assuring that they will put the lessons into effective use afterwards.
