Bauchi state gov, Sen. Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed
Following an executive order given by the Bauchi State Governor, Sen Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir to commence the construction of two blocks of six classrooms with offices and stores, which is to serve as a primary school for residents of Dajin village in Tafawa Balewa Local Government Area of the state, after finding some primary school pupils in the community, learning under a shade, contractors have mobilized to site and started the project a week after.
The MD/CEO of Bash Dee Transport Limited, the firm handling the project, Alhaji Bashir Isa said that the commencement of the work was in response to the Governor’s directive for the construction of the blocks classrooms to be completed within two weeks.
He said that the within 24 hours of the directive, the governor mobilized the firm so as to complete the project as scheduled and for subsequent commencement of academic activities when the 2021/2022 academic session will commence next month.
Bashir Isa said that “As you can see, we have started our work, and you are aware that His Excellency, Governor Bala Mohammed while passing the road saw pupils conducting academic activities under trees in which the Governor expressed dismay on the development and that necessitated his directive for the construction of the classrooms.”
He added that, “Because of the importance of the project to the community, we are enjoying the support and cooperation of the communities and BASHDee transport limited is working round the clock to ensure the completion of the project at the said period.”
The contractor while speaking to Journalists who were there said that the firm has already partnered with the state government in the area of construction and renovation of schools and has resolved to support the administration of Governor Bala Mohammed to succeed in the delivery of dividends of democracy.
“Recently, our company received a commendation letter from the Governor because of our effort of complementing the effort of his administration and we are determined to sustain that so that we can receive more awards.”
It will be recalled that last week Monday while on an official tour to the area, Bauchi State Governor saw primary school pupils in Dajin receiving teaching under tress, he lamented the situation and gave an executive order for the construction of two blocks of six classrooms.
