Bauchi State First Lady, Hajiya Aisha Bala Mohammed
First Lady of Bauchi State, Hajiya Aisha Bala Mohammed has been appointed Chairperson, Advocacy and Society Mobilisation Committee of the Bauchi State Agency for the Control of HIV Aids, Tuberculosis, Leprosy and Malaria (BACATMA).
The letter of appointment was presented to the First Lady by the Executive Chairman of BACATMA, Dr Sambo Alkali when he led his management members on a courtesy visit to her office on Friday.
The Executive Chairman disclosed that the visit was aimed at congratulating her on her husband’s victory in the last election as well as to also present the appointment letter to her as the new Chairperson of the Committee.
He explained that the terms of reference of the Committee Include mobilising people on the importance of premarital counselling, HIV/AIDs tests and other deadly diseases and on sanitation-related issues.
While responding, the First Lady, Hajiya Aisha Bala Mohammed expressed appreciation to the Agency for finding her worthy to be appointed as chairperson of the committee promising that her office will remain open for partnership with relevant stakeholders for the development of the state.
