He expressed confidence that the collaboration with the Brazilian Embassy on innovations will greatly contribute to increasing agricultural productivity, improving food security, and fostering economic growth.
According to him, “In recognition of the importance of agriculture as the primary source of employment for the majority of our people, upon assuming office, my Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, swiftly formulated a comprehensive agricultural development plan. This plan leverages our land assets to unlock the state’s industrial potential.”
He added that “the Governor has done so much, especially in the training of youth in modern farming techniques, ensuring that farmers have timely access to affordable fertilisers, and blending our own fertilisers to guarantee efficiency, affordability, and employment for all to promote agricultural development.”
The Deputy Governor further reiterated the readiness of the administration of Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed to seek partnerships and collaborations with experts in the agricultural sector for agricultural development.
He emphasised that Bauchi State is blessed with abundant agricultural potential, and therefore, it is essential for the present administration in the state to collaborate with agricultural experts to modernise the system for maximum benefit.
In particular, the Bauchi state government will explore partnerships with the Brazilian embassy to leverage its programmes and promote the transfer of agricultural and livestock knowledge and technology for job creation and opportunities in the agricultural sector.
He declared the interest of the Governor and the government of Bauchi State in collaborating with partners and investors to reactivate the state’s agricultural equipment and machines for agricultural production in line with best practices to enhance economic growth and development.
