Bandits have attacked some villages in Musawa and Matazu local government areas of Katsina State killing a village head and five others, while several houses were set ablaze.
According to Katsina post reports, the bandits stormed these villages, on Thursday, and left, on Saturday night.
Findings revealed that the bandits stormed some villages in the Musawa local government area, on Thursday, around 8.30 p.m. where they stole hundreds of animals and burnt down some houses.
According to reports, the bandits proceeded to Dugul village under Mazoji ward in Matazu local government area, on Friday night, where they killed the village head, Mallam Rabiu and four others.
Source also revealed that the bandits burnt many houses in Matazu and stole hundreds of animals belonging to the villagers.

However, it was gathered, at Gidan Mamman village in Musawa local government, the villagers came out to resist the onslaught by the bandits, unfortunately, one of the villagers was killed.
Meanwhile, in the early hours of Monday, hundreds of youths staged a protest to express their dismay over the spate of kidnapping in Yantumaki village of Danmusa local government area of Katsina State.
The protesters who came out en masse to express their anger blocked the Kankara and Dutsinma highway preventing motorists to ply the busy routes
According to the protesters, because of the incessant attacks in their villages many of the people have relocated to the cities leaving their properties.
A protester, Abubakar Yantumaki, disclosed that from all indication the government of Katsina have been overwhelmed, saying, “if they can not secure the people they should give us the go-ahead to defend ourselves.
“We are warriors. We have people that can resist them (Bandits) but we don’t know what the government are up to.
“Things are going out of hand,” he said.
