SENIOR Pastor of the Latter Rain Assembly, Tunde Bakare, is meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari in a closed-door session at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
He was led into the president’s office by embattled Minister of Finance, Mrs Kemi Adeosun, at about 2.30pm on Friday.
Dressed in a white flowing gown (agbada), he was clutching a black bag while walking side by side with the minister who engaged him in a discussion.
The former running mate to Buhari as the then-presidential candidate under the defunct Congress for Progressive Change (CPC), had recently chastised the president over the worsening economic and security situation in the country.
It was not clear why he was in the company of the Finance Minister who had been engrossed in alleged forgery of National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) exemption certificate.
The report had recently emerged that the minister submitted a forged NYSC exemption certificate for her ministerial screening when she was not eligible to have one having graduated at the age of 22.

To be eligible to be issued the certificate, the applicant must have graduated at the age of 30 and above.
Even though the authorities of the NYSC confirmed that she applied for an exemption certificate, they have however promised to investigate the one in her possession.
Following reports of the meeting with the president, the presidency said the Minister was at the Presidential Villa in connection with the Annual General Meeting and 25th Anniversary Celebration of African Export-Import Bank (AFREXIMBANK) holding Saturday in Abuja, which would be graced by President Buhari.
According to a statement issued by Femi Adesina, Special Adviser to the President (Media and Publicity), Adeosun ran into Pastor Bakare, who was on a scheduled visit to see the President, and they exchanged pleasantries.
It said: “The cleric particularly thanked the Minister for finding time to attend his mother’s funeral, which took place in Abeokuta, Ogun State, penultimate weekend.
“Mrs Adeosun had seen President Buhari not fewer than three times earlier in the week and did not need to meet with him again on Friday.
“This statement is to put events in proper perspective, and dispel all conjectures and fictive reporting.”
