He, during his early years in Nigeria, imbibed a deep desire for activism and advocacy for positive change. Similar feelings ensued when he arrived in the depressed economic climate of Flint, Michigan, United States, a city with resilient character but still reeling in the aftershocks of General Motor’s abandonment and violence.

Both places however, inspired a life story that would ultimately radiate through his music and spoken-word poetry. Unraveling a deep creative burst during a brief stay in Japan, he returned to the U.S. and enrolled at the University of Michigan at the age of sixteen. Musically, it’s been onward since then.

Ayoinmotion is a uniquely dynamic performer whose high octane delivery and stage mastery has garnered him notable accolades, including opening for Afrobeats superstar Davido, Talib Kweli at the legendary J.Dilla’s tribute and embarking on a successful European tour.

Accompanied by an infectiously energetic band and pulsating Afrobeats dancers that engage the crowd, Ayo’s musical performance is steeped in the vibrancy of an authentic and worldwide sound. His new EP, SOVA in less than two months of release, has already surpassed 72,000 streams. The artiste is currently back in Nigeria and has hinted about a new video, shot in Ibadan and will be released very soon.
