Barrister Ayodele Oni is a leading lawyer advising the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) on oil and gas projects and transactions. He is noteworthy for being the first Nigerian author to write a book on electric power having boldly resigned from one of the biggest law firms as a lawyer in Lagos for uncertainty as an entrepreneur.
He was spurred by the need to fill the gap after discovering that no singular Nigerian had written in that area and consequently became hugely popular among lawyers and investment bankers advising on the electric power sector. Based on this, The Partner, Bloomfield Law Practice got a consulting role with an international development institution around 2016/2017.
Oni is known for always advocating the need to review lawyers’ Rules of Professional Conduct amongst others and design and implementation process. Ayodele met his soul mate while at the Lagos State University as classmates.
