Tunesbid Limited, a music label and management company, is dragging its artiste, Mafoluku Ayorinde Ayodele, popularly known as AyoMaff, and his management team for allegedly breaching the terms of an exclusive recording contract executed in December 2023.
In the press release made available to R, Tunesbid disclosed that it entered into a binding agreement with AyoMaff, represented by his team—comprising Oyefeso Oluwamayowa Olumide, Okolie Arnold Chiedu, and Oyefeso Ayotunde—under the business entity OceanStreet Creative Limited.
The label claimed that both parties had agreed to a stipulated period during which the artist was expected to deliver a number of EPs and LP albums, while the label would finance and promote his music brand.
According to the statement, within the first five months of the agreement, the label funded and released several singles, including Street Anthem, 7 Days, and Dealer.
These releases, the label said, helped elevate the AyoMaff brand from relative obscurity to national recognition, culminating in international interest. Notably, Empire Distribution was said to have offered a deal to distribute two EPs and potentially an LP from the artist, agreeing to an upfront payment to Tunesbid Limited.
However, complications reportedly arose after these developments.
It alleged that AyoMaff and his team began engaging directly with Empire Distribution, bypassing the label, which claims it had already made financial commitments to advance the distribution deal.
The label further accused the artist’s team of withdrawing from their agreement without warning, vacating the label’s premises without submitting recorded materials, and cutting off all communication with the label.
Specifically, Oyefeso Oluwamayowa Olumide, described as the key representative of the artist’s team, was said to have gone “incommunicado.”

Tunesbid claims that on May 17 and May 30, 2024—less than six months after the contract was signed—it received two letters from AyoMaff and his management stating their intent to exit the agreement.
The label, through its legal counsel Zaeda Oracle, rejected the letters and insisted that the contract remains valid and enforceable. It also refuted what it called “false claims” from the artist’s camp.
Efforts to resolve the conflict through mediation reportedly broke down, as Tunesbid alleges that neither the artist nor his representatives showed interest in a peaceful resolution. Consequently, the label announced that it has instructed its legal team to begin exploring legal avenues to address what it describes as a “blatant breach of contract.”
Importantly, the label emphasized that any existing or new partnerships, performances, or collaborations involving AyoMaff—especially those organized by OceanStreet Creative Limited—without the express approval of Tunesbid Limited, are unauthorised.
It went further to warn third-party entities such as promoters, event organizers, and entertainment companies like RoadMan Entertainment, Make Da Melalin Group, AfroVibes Sheffield Ent., and 1XMedia Ent. to cease any dealings with the artist without clearance from the label or risk legal consequences.
“We wish to make it clear to the public that AyoMaff is still bound by an existing contract with Tunesbid Limited,” the release concluded.
When asked for his comment on the development, Ayo Maff’s lawyer, Arnold Okolie, said the matter is currently in court and wouldn’t want to comment further.
