Awolowo Dosumu installed as CPFN/PFN Grand Patroness, South-West

The Asiwaju Obinrin Onigbagbo of Remoland, Ambassador (Dr) Olatokunbo Awolowo Dosumu, has been installed as the Grand Patroness of the Christian Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (CPFN) and Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), in the South-West zone.

This honour was bestowed on her during the annual thanksgiving service in her honour as organised by the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Ogun State chapter, at the Awolowos residence, in Ikenne Remo,on Sunday.

In attendance at the service were the Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Mr Olatokunbo Talabi; former president, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, represented by his wife, Bola; former governor of the State, Otunba Gbenga Daniel and the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, represented by the Agbolu of Agbaye Ife, Oba Adekunle Adebowale.

Others were the Chief Justice of Ogun State, Justice Mosunmola Dipeolu; her predecessor in office, Justice Olatokunbo Olopade; Reverend Omotola Oyediran; the Akarigbo of Remoland, Oba Babatunde Ajayi; the Alake and Paramount ruler of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo, represented by the Olu of Owode and Olu of Siun, Oba Kolawole Sowemimo and Oba Lawrence Odeyinka respectively and a retinue of traditional rulers from Remoland.

Also in attendance were the Archbishop of Ecclesiastical Province of Lagos, His Grace, Dr. Olusina Fape; the Bishop of Egba West, The Right Reverend Ogundeji; the Bishop of Ijebu South West, The Right Reverend Babatunde Ogunbanwo and other spiritual heads from different Christian denomination.

In his words of exhortation, the President, Baptist Conference, Ogun State, Rev (Dr) Solomon Oyeniyi, urged Christians to imbibe the habit of appreciating God in all their ways.

Oyeniyi who quoted Psalm:116 vs 12 challenged everyone to always recognise God’s faithfulness in their life by being thankful and grateful.

He admonished them to be more committed to things of the Lord and give testimonies at all times.

Obasanjo and Daniel in their goodwill messages appreciated God on behalf of the celebrant and urged her to be more dedicated to the service of God and humanity.

Oba Ajayi in his remarks described Awolowo Dosumu as a personality that has great passion for the country.

He said: “What a better way to give thanks to God. He deserves all our praises. We must all give thanks to God for his faithfulness and kindness over us.

“For Awolowo Dosumu, she is passionate about God and this country. Her passion is not for selfish reason but one that benefits humanity,” he added.

Awolowo Dosumu appreciated CAN for organising the thanksgiving service which she described as “great evangelism.”

She said that God works in many ways to keep his handiwork, saying “God has done so much and will continue to do so much for us, that is why we have to continue thanking Him for seen and unseen things.”

She described her investiture as call to service and promised to do more for the propagation of God’s gospel.
Governor Abiodun also joined others in congratulating Awolowo Dosumu.
