AWDROP appoints caretaker committee

THE Association of Water Well Drilling Rig Owners and Practitioners (AWDROP) has appointed caretaker committee to stir the operations of the union for the next three months before a proper election is organised.

Members, at its mini annual congress held in Abuja recently, also ratified and adopted a new draft constitution for the association.

The congress was well attended by members across the country, with the national president, Mr Micheal Ale, represented by the national vice president, Mr Dayo Opeyemi.

The legal adviser of the Association led the ratification and adoption processes and various motions were moved and supported by attendees.

After the executive of the association was dissolved, a three-man caretaker committee to run the affairs of the association for three months for proper election to be conducted into various positions was elected.

Members of the committee are Alhaji Umar Isa (Chairman), Muhammed Otokiti (Secretary) and Olasupo Bilawu (Financial Secretary).
