Addressing the beneficiaries, during the presentation of the scholarship at Korokorosei community in Southern Ijaw LGA, Konbowei said the gesture is aimed at encouraging them to concentrate their studies.
Explaining further he said shunning cultism and studying hard is the sure way students can reward their parents that have sacrificed everything to cater to them.
Konbowei said the scholarship programme is one of the ways he gives back to his constituents who had earlier given him the mandate to represent them, and also to encourage educational development, adding that the scheme will accommodate more students next year.

The President of Federated Union of Southern Ijaw Students, Comrade Wari Theophilus, appreciated the speaker for his gesture and called on the beneficiaries to make optimum use of the opportunities afforded them by working hard to excel in their academic pursuits.
Acting Paramount Ruler of Azuzuama community, Chief Jonathan Atubo-Kpide in his remark, commended the speaker for his benevolence that is aimed at advancing education in the area.
