The Aseyin of Iseyinland, His Royal Majesty, Oba Sefiu Olawale Oyebola Adeyeri III (Ajirotutu I), has begun a three-day unity tour across towns and palaces in the Oke Ogun region of Oyo State.

The first day of the tour, which was Wednesday, witnessed visitations to Iganna in Iwajowa local government area, Okeho and Ilero in Kajola local government area, Igbojaiye, Okaka and Ipapo in Itesiwaju local government area.

Accompanied by the Aare Gbobaniyi of Iseyinland, Honourable Shina Peller, who is also the Ayedero of Yorubaland, Oba Aseyin met with fellow royal fathers in the towns visited.

Some of the royal fathers visited in their palaces are the Sabiganna of Iganna Kingdom and Chairman, Traditional Council in Iwajowa local government area, His Royal Majesty, Oba Saliu Oyemonla Azeez Agunloye IV, the Onjo of Okeho, Oba Rafiu Osuolale Mustapha, Adeitan II and the Elero of Ileroland, His Royal Highness, Oba Wasiu Oyedele Saka Ilufemiloye I in Kajola local government area.

Others are Oluigbo of Igbojaye, His Royal Highness, Oba Zaccheus Olatunji Oyeleke Alobaloke III, the Olokaka of Okakaland, His Royal Highness, Oba Ayoola Azeez Olatunji, and the Eleyinpo of Ipapoland, His Royal Highness, Oba Yekeen Ademola Adisa Abioye II in Itesiwaju local government area.

Oba Oyebola seized the opportunity of the tour to appreciate the royal fathers for their support during his coronation as the Aseyin of Iseyin.

He also seized the opportunity to preach love, peace and unity across the Oke Ogun region and assured them of his readiness to work with them to ensure the progress of the region.

In his reaction, Honourable Peller commended Oba Oyebola for the tour, describing it as a laudable initiative which he said will help strengthen the unity and progress of the region.

“By this initiative, His Royal Majesty has demonstrated his readiness to work collectively with the fellow royal fathers in Oke Ogun in building and achieving a desirable region,” the former federal lawmaker said.

Similarly, the Ayedero of Yorubaland enjoined all sons and daughters of Oke Ogun both home and in the disapora to be driven by love for one another, peace and unity, noting that peace is required to make desirable progress.

He said, “Truly, for us to progress further in Oyo State, all regions within the state, including Oke Ogun, must demonstrate love for one another. This is necessary because it is love that brings oneness, and where there is oneness, there will be peace. A peaceful environment will always thrive.

“So, we must love one another and be driven by unity in the overall interest of our state and Nigeria at large.”

It would be recalled that the Governor of Oyo State, Engineer Seyi Makinde, had on December 14, 2023, presented the staff of office to Oba Sefiu Oyebola as the 30th Aseyin of Iseyinland.
