COURT
The police on Friday arraigned an applicant, Yemi Falana, in an Ado-Ekiti Chief Magistrates’ Court for allegedly threatening to kill a priest.
Dalana,39, is charged with criminal intimidation and threat to life.
The Prosecution Counsel, Insp. Johnson Okunade told the court that the defendant committed the offence on Aug. 22, 2018, at about noon at Araromi Obo in Igbemo -Ekiti.

He said that the defendant threatened to kill Rev. Father, Theophilus Olaiya with a knife.
The offence, he said, contravened the provisions of Section 86 (2) of the Criminal Code, Cap C 16, Laws of Ekiti 2012.
The defendant pleaded not guilty.
Defence Counsel, Mr Peter Oluwanisola, prayed the court to grant bail to his client on liberal terms, adding that he would not jump bail and always make himself available in court.
Chief Magistrate, Aderopo Adegboye, admitted the defendant to bail in the sum of N200, 000 with two sureties in like sum.
He adjourned the case until Sept. 18 for further hearing.
