APC vice chairman favours Nasarawa North for governorship slot

North- Central Vice Chairman of the All Progressives Congress( APC) Zakari Idde has appealed to the party’s stakeholders in the state to zone the governorship ticket to the northern senatorial district of the state.

He made the call while addressing Newsmen on Monday in Nassarawa-Eggon Local Government Area (LGA)

“Nasarawa North being the only zone that has not produced a governor since 1999, hence for the interest of fairness and Justice, the zone should also be considered.

“APC members and stakeholders in Nasarawa State should zone the party’s governorship ticket to Nasarawa North.” He reiterated.

While commenting on the continued killings in the state, Idde advocated for a consistent roundtable discussion to end the incessant attacks by suspected herdsmen.

According to him, “No battle was ever won at the battlefield, no matter what happened the parties involved has to come to the roundtable before addressing issues.
