The national leadership of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) on Tuesday gave a tacit endorsement for the return of its House of Representatives member, representing Tudun Wada Doguwa Federal Constituency, Honourable Hassan Doguwa, for the principal position of House Leader.
At the weekend, Doguwa defeated the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Alhaji Yushau Mohammed in the Court ordered rerun conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission.
Finding revealed that INEC conducted re-run elections in 28 Constituencies in 11 States of the Federation.

Speaking when Honourable Doguwa presented his Certificate of Return in the company of the Kano State governor, Umar Abdullahi Ganduje, the APC national chairman, Adams Oshiomhole said he believed Doguwa colleagues in the Green Chamber, who are members of the ruling party would give him the opportunity to return as House Leader.
He said: “Let me say that from the reaction of your colleagues, the Speaker was in Kano, the Deputy Leader, was also in Kano and it was for nothing that they chose not to fill that position because like members of your constituency who elected you, they were also waiting to reelect you.
“I believe that God gave you a second chance. That the Speaker was in Kano means that he holds you in high esteem. They deliberately decided not to fill the vacancy and just like us, they were confident that the people of your constituency will return you to the House. I don’t think I should say more than that.”
