The All Progressives Congress (APC), Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC) has said it will proceed with the conduct of State Congresses fixed for October 16.
National Secretary of the APC CECPC, Senator John James Akpanudoedehe, disclosed this in a statement at the end of the meeting held on Wednesday at the party national secretariat.
The statement assured aggrieved chieftains that the reports of Local Government Areas (LGAs) Congresses have been considered and adopted.
The two paragraphs statement read in part: “The All Progressives Congress (APC), Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC) at its 17th regular meeting of Wednesday 29th September, 2021 considered and adopted the Local Government Areas (LGAs) Congresses Reports. However, the CECPC will look into any areas where there are disputes.
“The CECPC directed that the conduct of the State Congresses shall proceed on Saturday 16th October, 2021, while Zamfara and the Anambra states are exempted accordingly.”
