•He is only stressed out —Wife • Fans pray for comedian
There were conerns about the health of popular comedian, Julius Agwu during the week when news came to town that the talented comedian’s health had worsened.
Following, Agwu’s brain surgery in the US early last year, his present condition was initially linked to that.
Agwu, who had originally travelled to London for his show (Crack ya ribs), was hospitalised moments before the event.
However, Ibiere, Agwu’s wife, released a statement on Thursday afternoon, making light of her husband’s health condition. In the statement posted on her Instagram page, she said the comedian was only hospitalised “due to stress-related issues,” adding that the pictures of her husband displayed on the social media in the last 72 hours then, were old pictures that did not “correctly represent his current situation.”
While thanking everybody for the concern shown about Agwu since the news broke out, Ibiere, writing on behalf of her husband, their children, Zahra and Zadok and the entire Reel Laif Entertainment family, said, “By the grace of GOD, Julius is doing well and receiving adequate care.”
But some of the comedian’s fans took time to pray for him on the social media. One of his fans, @beke_great, wrote on the instagram: “ May God the healer prove Himself in Julius’s life. May you come back, bounce back and live a more glorious life, Amen.”
Another fan,@ndokipikin, wrote: “God, please touch him and heal him completely in Jesus name.”
Yet another fan, @Pamela wrote: God please take sadness out of one of our best comedian’s family. Please God, heal him.”
