Anti-corruption: Oyo CP, lawyer receive Integrity Honour Award

Oyo state commissioner of Police, Sonubi Ayodele, Ibadan-based lawyer, Barrister Jimoh Mumeen and other Nigerians have been awarded an Integrity Honour award by a group, Anti-Corruption and Public Interest Transparency Initiative Nigeria.

Ayodele and Mumin were awarded on Thursday during the nomination and presentation of the Integrity Honour Award held at the Federal Secretariat Hall, Ikolaba, Ibadan, Oyo state capital.

Speaking the National Director General of the group, Prince Adekunle Adegbola explained that the awardees were honoured for their support of the initiative in its fight against corruption.

He stated that the group which is aimed at assisting the government at all levels in educating the citizens and immigrants on policies, programs of government is meant to eradicate bribery and corruption in the country.

He urged law enforcement agencies and private sectors to join the group in the fight against corruption.

He stated that Mumin was awarded for his legal support to the initiative.

He said “Mumin is awarded today, for his role in law, support to activities of the human rights body, and wealth of his experience which prompt the structure to decorate him with this honour.

“We here by call on security agencies and private sectors to join our group in the fight against corruption and other crimes.”

Responding, Mumeen appreciates the group for the award while he pledged to contribute more towards the success of the initiative.
