The Governor who was represented by the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Ibrahim Balarabe, made the call on Monday during the closing ceremony of the 2017 batch A, Stream 1 Orientation exercise at the scheme’s orientation camp in Keffi.
According to the governor, Nasarawa State is an agrarian state that was newly created in 1996, hence, the need for Corp members to contribute their own quota to the growth of various communities thereby developing the entire state.
“As you all can see, Nasarawa State is a miniature Nigeria, with diverse tribes and religion. It is also an agrarian state that is still going through development, I urge you all to prioritize community development during your service year”, he said.
Also speaking, the State Coordinator of the NYSC, Zanaib Isah appreciated the Corp members for conducting themselves in a good manner during their orientation period and urged them to maintain the tempo as they commence their service to the nation.
