GOVERNOR Umaru Tanko Al-makura of Nasarawa and senator Abdulahi Adamu had a closed-door meeting that lasted for several hours on Thursday.
The meeting which held at the chamber of the Government House in lafia, brought together all the first class traditional chiefs in attendance.
Source said the traditional rulers initiated the meeting following the political rift between Governor Al-makura and Senator Abdulahi Adamu ahead of the APC primaries.
It could be recalled that Governor Almakura had picked Engr AA Sule as his preferred candidate for Saturday gubernatorial APC primary election in the state.
He (the Governor) also is also sponsoring the present commissioner for education, Alhaji Aliyu Tijani Ahmed to run for the western senatorial seat against the seating Senator Abdullahi Adamu, the two-term governor of the state.

Information revealed that he is not certain whether the outcome of the meeting was positive or not, as all the traditional rulers, including the former Governor Adamu, walked out of the premise with no enthusiasm.
