Akwa Ibom Police Command has recovered stolen items, mostly electronics, arresting one suspect, David Ededet Okon of Mbiabam in Ibiono Ibom Local Government Area of the State.
A statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, Timfon John, made available to journalists on Wednesday, hinted that the feat is a continuous effort in fighting crime in the state by the command.
According to the statement, items recovered from the suspect, who was arrested on Sunday, July 20, 2025, include the following:

- 1 giant ceiling fan
- 5 generators
- 2 coils of DSTV wires
- 1 “DELL” laptop
- 9 desktop computer monitors
- 13 TV sets
- 4 electric irons
- 1 sonic insect killer
- 2 electric kettles
- 1 motor battery
- 10 microphones
- 1 DSTV decoder
- 1 Sony decoder
- 6 DVD set
- 2 tomba drum
- 5 standing fans
- 2 cymbals
The Command, therefore, calls on members of the public who lost their properties to report to the Command Headquarters with evidence of ownership and claim the items.
Investigations, according to the statement, are ongoing to arrest the suspect’s accomplice, one Sanusi (other names unknown), who is still at large.
