He said the motivation behind the women empowerment is due to the fact that the majority of voters and supporters during the election are women and there is the need for them to be empowered and supported to enhance their standard of living.
“Today is the official launching of N250 million Women Empowerment scheme as two fifty thousand women have been given N20,000 each, which cost N5 million as more will be done tomorrow, next week and throughout the four years of our administration.
“Most of the empowerment will not be financial support, some will be training, hospital bills, jobs, house bill and vocational skills.
“Empowerment programme will not be the only project throughout the four years of our administration, as this is for the women, more is coming for the men, youths and our, communities. We promised boreholes, bridges and many more, but some of these projects are things that I cannot do by myself, there will be a need for the state and federal governments to intervene for the success of the projects.
“Moreover, these empowerments programmes have started for decades and still counting,” Alabi stated.
Meanwhile, Honourable Usman Olalekan, popularly known as Ultra, laud honourable Alabi for the project saying it’s in fulfilment of one of the electioneering promises.
Present at the programme were the party leaders, party women and the beneficiaries of the scheme, among others.
