Ajuri can now rest, add some weight, Shehu Sani reacts

Published by

Ex-senator Shehu Sani, has reacted to the recent announcement by Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Media and Publicity, regarding his temporary leave from office.

Sani took to his official X account and remarked humorously that Ngelale can now enjoy some rest, switch off his phone, and even regain some weight.  Sani wrote, “Ajuri can now rest well, sleep well, eat well, switch off his phone and even add some weight.”

Recall that Tribune online reported that in a statement released by the Presidency on Saturday, Ngelale revealed that he submitted a memo to Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila, informing him of his decision to proceed on indefinite leave to address medical matters affecting his immediate family.

As a result, Ngelale has also stepped down from his roles as Special Presidential Envoy on Climate Action and Chairman of the Presidential Steering Committee on Project Evergreen.

Ngelale was appointed as the President’s special adviser on Media and Publicity on August 1, 2023. His role will continue throughout the administration unless the President decides otherwise. He was later appointed the first Special Presidential Envoy on Climate Action on May 19, 2024, along with several other significant roles in the administration.

This temporary leave has sparked discussions, as Ngelale has been a prominent figure in Tinubu’s government since his appointments.
