THE Oyo State governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi and other top government functionaries from the state are among the dignitaries expected at the official commissioning of a multi-million naira hostel and a 3km road constructed by the International College of Arts, Science and Technology (ICAST) on Saturday, July 15, 2017 in Ibadan.
The ultra-modern hostel, equipped with adequate medical personnel, equipment and a standard sporting facility for use by the students, is said have the capacity to accommodate thousands of students conveniently.
The proprietor of ICAST, Dotun Sanusi said that the new hostel which is solar powered has 500KVA generating set which would ensure a 24 hours electricity supply.
Sanusi explained that ICAST came into existence in September 2011 as a beacon of light and has grown into full capacity of international standard, noting that the hostel will complement the standard of the school as well as its vision of quality education.
He said that the state’s Deputy Governor, Chief Moses Adeyemo will be the guest of honour at the commissioning which also has the Speaker of the House of Assembly, Micheal Adeyemo, House of Representatives Members, Bosun Oladele and Dapo Lam Adesina as guests.
The chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Oyo State, Chief Akin Oke will be the Father of the day at the commissioning while a renowned Medical Practitioner and Motivational Speaker, Dr. Abib Olamitoye will chair the occasion and a former Commissioner for Education in Oyo State, Mrs. Tokunbo Fayokun will be the mother of the day.
