Processes towards Governor Abiola Ajimobi handing over and governor-elect, Mr Seyi Makinde taking over the reins of administration of Oyo state on May 29 have commenced.
This followed the inauguration of a 26-man transition committee headed by Secretary to the Oyo State Government, Mr Olalekan Alli, by Ajimobi, at Governor’s office, on Thursday.
Inaugurating the committee with three terms of reference to evolve a framework for handing over, liaise between the outgoing and incoming government and organise befitting handing over and taking over, Ajimobi pointed out that the committee’s activities should not disturb the smooth running of government until the May 29 date of handing over.
He, however, noted that the committee was permitted to seek needful clarifications where necessary.
