Officers and men of the Zone 12 Police Command have been tasked to be disciplined and perform their obligatory roles in conformity to the laid down rules and regulations guiding Police conduct to avoid undermining the law.
The charge was given by the Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of Zone 12 Command, AIG Dasuki Danbappa Galadanchi when he officially assumed duty at the Zonal Command Headquarters in Bauchi, which comprises Bauchi and Gombe State Commands.
The AIG stated that his mandate for the Zonal Police headquarters amongst others is to work with relevant stakeholders to secure lives and property within its jurisdiction.
Galadanchi promised to deploy modern day policing systems in line with global best standards and practices to address the security challenges facing the people of Bauchi and Gombe States.
Continuing, the AIG emphasised discharging his responsibilities with the fear of Almighty Allah without fear or favour while effectively collaborating with Governors of Bauchi and Gombe States, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammad and Inuwa Yahaya to ensure that the protection of lives and properties in their respective states was paramount.
He also called on the people of Bauchi and Gombe states to be security conscious of their immediate environment and report any suspicious person to the appropriate authority for prompt action.
Galadanchi expressed his appreciation to the Inspector-General of Police, Olukayode Adeolu Egbetokun for finding him worthy to work in this capacity and having the confidence in him to reposition the Zone for effective and efficient policing.
The AIG revealed that he served in Imo, Lagos, CTU FHQ Abuja and other formations before his recent appointment as the 27th AIG of Zone 12 Police Command as contained in a statement by SP Thomas Goni ZPPRO Bauchi.
