MINARET University, Ikirun, Osun State, has alerted prospective students, parents, guardians and the general public about ongoing fraudulent admission activities.
The university, established by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at of Nigeria, clarified that it has not commenced any admission process or sales of Post-UTME forms for any academic session at this time.
The university management revealed that impersonators are circulating fake application forms and requesting payment for Post-UTME, falsely claiming to conduct admissions on behalf of Minaret University.
In a statement issued via the office of the Registrar, the university emphasised that it has not authorised any individual, agent or third party to collect money or conduct admission-related activities on its behalf.
“All official communication will only come through Minaret University’s official website and verified social media channels,” it said.
Minaret University also warned that it will not be responsible for any loss or damage resulting from interactions with the fraudsters.
“Members of the public are hereby advised to exercise caution and verify any admission-related information directly with the university before taking any action,” it added.
The university confirmed that anyone caught impersonating or fraudulently using its name for criminal purposes will be reported to law enforcement agencies.
