The management of T-BYK Ventures Limited, in collaboration with Centre for Black Arts and African Civilization (CBAAC), has announced a new homegrown festival.
CEO of T-BYK, Tunde MacAlabi, informed that the highly anticipated African Global Festival Nigeria (AGLOFEST), will be held in the last quarter of 2025 and will bring together cultural enthusiasts, artists, and thought leaders from across the globe to celebrate the vibrancy of African heritage.
MacAlabi, who is also the founder/convener of AGLOFEST, said: “AGLOFEST will be a celebration of Black and Africa’s unity, strength and
cultural diversity.
“Scheduled to take place in Abuja, Lagos, and Uyo, our goal is to create a space where Blacks and Africans at home and abroad can reconnect with their roots, share their stories, and forge partnerships that will drive the continent forward.
“This is more than just entertainment it’s about identity, legacy, and the future of African creativity. This year’s maiden edition promises to be an unforgettable experience, showcasing the richness of African creative industry products alongside music, dance, and fashion.
“The program is projected to generate over $20 billion into the Nigerian economy, across sectors within the next five years with sustainable hosting of the program.
“AGLOFEST is more than just a festival, it is a movement dedicated to uniting Africans and the black diaspora through culture, creativity, and collaboration.
Set against the backdrop of Nigeria’s rich history and diverse traditions, the festival will feature an exciting line-up of live performances, cultural exhibitions, fashion showcases, business networking sessions, and panel discussions with some of the most influential voices in Black and African culture and entertainment.
According to the organisers, the highlights of the festival will include Business and innovation Summit, a platform for networking and discussions on Africa’s creative economy, entrepreneurship, and investment opportunities.
The African Global Festival Nigeria is expected to attract thousands of attendees, including artists, cultural ambassadors, entrepreneurs, and government officials, making it one of the most significant cultural events in Africa.
The program enjoys the support of the Federal Ministry of Art, Culture, Creative Economy and Tourism, Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Air Peace Airline, and Nigerian President, His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who is the Grand Patron and Chief Global Ambassador of AGLOFEST.
