THE Cross River State Tourism Bureau has emerged as the Best Exhibition Stand in Nigeria at the 20th edition of the Akwaaba African Travel Market (AfTM), held at the Eko Hotel and Suites in Lagos from September 22 to 24.
The feat attained by the state is a testament to its pride of place in tourism promotion and public presentation at any landmark events.
According to Managing Director, Cross River State Tourism Bureau, Prince Ojoi Ekpenyong, who was elated with the announcement, said ‘we were well prepared at all time to be nothing but the best and will do the needful to also be nothing but the first.
“This is the first time the Bureau will be exhibiting in AKWAABA in more than 10 years. The Bureau is poised to put destination Cross River back in the tourism map in Africa and the world. This has been my stellar initiatives since I resumed as MD of the bureau in 2023.
“The Bureau’s exhibition with the theme “Rediscover Cross River” was against the backdrop of the Season of Sweetness and the People first agenda of Sen. Prince Bassey Otu’s led administration of Cross River State.”
