The African Men Entertainment Kings (AFRIMEK) has announced the indefinite suspension of actor Adeniyi Johnson for gross misconduct and a breach of the club’s constitution.

The decision was communicated through an official post on the club’s Instagram page over the weekend.

AFRIMEK stated: “ADENIYI JOHNSON is hereby suspended indefinitely from the club (AFRIMEK). He has no right to portray himself as a member and is stopped from participating in club activities.

“This decision is borne out of gross misconduct and breach of the club’s constitution.”

AFRIMEK is known for its influential members within Nigeria’s entertainment industry.

Prior to his suspension, Adeniyi Johnson served as the Public Relations Officer of AFRIMEK.

Reacting to the suspension, Johnson expressed his disappointment in a heartfelt statement:

“It SADDENS MY HEART THAT MY HONOURABLE CLUB MADE SUCH A DEROGATIVE POST ABOUT ME!! PLEASE NOTE I AM NOT BIGGER THAN THE CLUB, BUT BEFORE THE CLUB THERE HAS BEEN ADENIYI JOHNSON. IF CARE ISN’T TAKEN, THAT POST WILL DO LOTS OF HARM THAN GOOD!

“I FEEL THIS IS DETRIMENTAL TO MY NAME, MY FAMILY, STANDARD, EVEN UPBRINGING, AND MORE IMPORTANTLY MY BRAND. I INITIALLY DID NOT WANT TO MAKE A POST OR TALK ABOUT IT BUT THE CALLS AND MESSAGES ARE WORRISOME… MORESO BECAUSE OF MY WIFE WHO WASN’T AWARE OF ALL THAT WAS ONGOING UNTIL THE POST WAS MADE!!! I HEREBY IMPLORE MY FAMILY, FRIENDS, AND TEAMING FANS TO STAY CALM AND CONTINUE TO SHOW THE UNWAVERING LOVE AND SUPPORT!!!

TO ALL ASSOCIATES, I REMAIN MY HUMBLE SELF AND THANKS FOR CONTINUOUS BELIEF AND TRUST!! GOD PASS US ALL!!”
