Afenifere, family, friends to hold candlelight procession for late Pa Adebanjo

Pan-Yoruba socio-political group, Afenifere, in collaboration with the family and friends of its leader, the late Pa Ayo Adebanjo, said a Candle Light Procession is scheduled to hold tonight at 6 pm prompt in honour of the elder statesman, who passed away on Friday, aged 96 years.

Recall that Pa. Adebanjo died at his Lekki, Lagos residence and torrent of tributes has continued to pour in from Nigerians across the globe in his honour through messages and visits by the movers and shakers of the society.

Afenifere announced the planned Candle Light Procession on Monday in a release issued by its spokesperson, Prince Justice Faloye, saying that the convergence point it is Pa Adebanjo’s compound, at Ayo Adebanjo Close, Lekki Phase 1, with dress code being a touch of white.

“Please join us as we pay respect to our great icon.

“We would have a Candle Light Procession in his honor by 6 pm prompt. Please, kindly be on time,” Faloye said.
