Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke on Monday, suspended the rector of Osun State Polytechnic Iree, Dr. T.A Odetayo for alleged financial recklessness, corruption, misappropriation of funds and abuse of office.
As a result of the act, the state governor has replaced him with Mr Alabi Kehinde Adeyemi as the new acting rector of the institution.
The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education, M.A.K Jimoh made the announcement in a statement in Osogbo.
A copy of the statement obtained by our reporter on Monday explained that “Dr Odetayo was suspended following allegations of financial recklessness, corruption, misappropriation of funds and abuse of office”.
