Adeleke, Oluwo hail confirmation of Adeniyi as Customs CG

Osun State governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, described the confirmation of Mr Bashir Adewale Adeniyi as the Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service as a well-deserved recognition of his dedication, competence, and strong commitment to public service.

Additionally, Osun State’s first-class traditional ruler, Oba Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi, praised Adeniyi’s confirmation as a significant step in bolstering the country’s borders and fortifying the nation’s economy.

In a statement issued by his spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, Governor Adeleke also expressed his appreciation to President Tinubu for recognising Mr Bashir’s capability to lead the paramilitary organisation.

He noted that this confirmation is a bold affirmation of the President’s dedication to enhancing the efficiency and productivity of customs.

The Governor extended his congratulations to Mr Bashir for his well-deserved career advancement, emphasising that his confirmation reflects his years of dedication, competence, and unwavering commitment to public service.

“On behalf of the people of Osun State, I wholeheartedly celebrate Mr Bashir Adewale Adeniyi’s confirmation as the Comptroller-General of Customs by President Bola Tinubu,” the Governor said in a congratulatory statement.

“Mr Bashir’s confirmation attests to his impressive public service record, competence, and devotion to the Customs Service over the years.

It also underscores President Tinubu’s commitment to entrust individuals with proven capacity with greater responsibilities in the journey of moving the nation forward.”

Governor Adeleke expressed his full confidence in Mr. Bashir’s ability to continue serving with dedication, professionalism, and integrity in his new role.

He emphasised that not only the people of Osun State but the entire nation look forward to an enhanced contribution to the country from the Customs under Mr Bashir’s leadership.

In a separate statement, the Oluwo of Iwo Land stated, “The appointment of Osun native Adewale Adeniyi as the Comptroller-General of the Nigerian Customs Service (NCS) is a timely and commendable decision.

I have high hopes for his wealth of experience in strengthening border security and bolstering our economy.”

“I commend President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for selecting the right person for the job. He will reinvigorate the service and enhance its performance.”

“I urge Nigerians to support the government and the service to strengthen our economy and restore the nation’s glory.”

In the statement made available to newsmen by his spokeswoman, Alli Ibraheem, the monarch added that his confirmation would further transform the customs circle because he has all that it takes to make the place more virile.
