It was a celebration of tenacity and triumph in adversity as Mosh Pharmacy & Supermarket opened its sixth branch in Odogbo Barracks, Ibadan, over the weekend.
The Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, who was the chairman on the occasion, was full of praises for the CEO of Mosh Pharmacy & Supermarket, Mrs Olubukola Abiola Peller.
Adelabu saluted for her bravery in keeping the business going for the past 20 years.
“She has done a lot in contributing to the economy of this nation by creating jobs for people and by the nature of her business; health is wealth,” he said. “She is an inspiration to young people,” he added.
In her address, while opening the supermarket located in the Mammy Market area of the barrack, Mrs Abiola Peller said, “Today marks a significant milestone in the journey of Mosh Pharmacy, and I am truly honoured to stand before you as we celebrate the opening of our sixth branch. This moment is not merely a celebration of our growth; it is a tribute to the resilience, hard work, and unwavering support that have shaped our story over the past 20 years.”
She added, “As I reflect on our journey, I am reminded of the foundational role my late father, Professor L.A Oladosu of the Department of Veterinary Medicine, University of Ibadan, played in shaping my path. His guidance, wisdom, and unwavering support grounded me in the pharmacy profession. He instilled in me the passion to strive for excellence and to be resilient.”
According to her, Mosh began in a small room in Bashorun, Ibadan, “where we faced countless challenges in sourcing products and building our vision. Those early days were tough, filled with late nights and hard-earned lessons. Yet, through perseverance and faith, we transformed obstacles into opportunities.
“With God’s grace, we moved to our major branch Mosh House in Bodija, then to Ile-Tuntun, from there to Ace Mall, and from there we expanded to our City View branch and also Iseyin.
“Each step was guided by our commitment to serve our community with integrity and care. Just a few months ago, we took a bold step by launching our premium water line, aimed at providing clean, quality water at affordable prices.
“Today, as we open this new branch, we reinforce our mission: to enhance the health and well-being of our community through exceptional service and quality products. I would like to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to those who have stood by us throughout this journey.”
On how she copes with the running of the various branches without hitches, she said access to technology has made work easier for her and the management because now they can work from anywhere and still achieve positive results and effective accountability. When asked about her advice for upcoming entrepreneurs, she said: “I would encourage them to never give up. It might be very challenging now with the current economic turbulence, however, perseverance is the key. With a tenacious and consistent push, they will be able to navigate and stand firm.”
