The Acting Chief of Army (COAS), Lt. General Olufemi Oluyede, on Sunday arrived at the 8 Division headquarters in Sokoto on his maiden operation visit since his appointment.
The Acting COAS, on his arrival, is expected to visit the Sultan of Sokoto, Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar and other relevant stakeholders in the state.
He is also expected to visit and hold talks with troops of operation FASAN YANMA, in order to motivate troops in the discharge of their responsibilities.
Recalled that the acting Chief of Army Staff assumed office in an acting capacity following the sudden death of his predecessor in office, Lt. Gen. Taoreed Lagbaja.
