The retired military general died on Sunday night at the age 73 years at a hospital in London following a protracted illness.
Late Muktari Muhammed was also Waziri of Dutse emirate in Jigawa State, he was a one-time Minister of Housing and Urban Development and was a member of the Supreme Military Council.
Before he fast away, AVM Muktari Muhammad was the Chairman board of directors of Freedom Radio, a private popular Radio station in Kano, Kaduna and Jigawa states.
The deceased was a Military Governor of Kaduna State from 1978 to 1979, also a member of the National Constitutional Conference in 2014.
He is survived by a wife and six children.
