Happy times are here for ace broadcaster Bewaji Adekunle who is celebrating the dawn of a new year today.
For him, this particular birthday is a significant one due to the circumstances surrounding his last birthday. He recalled how his last birthday was every shade of what he never planned for as it arrived amid a court battle that caused disruptions to his personal and professional lives.
But in the midst of what he described as a chaotic year, he said he has overcome hard times and it is time to roll out the drums to celebrate another milestone in his life.
Bewaji who has been in the business for more than 15 years while speaking with R on the challenges he encountered in the last few years, noted that “Life comes with it twists and turns but one must continue to appreciate God who gives life in abundance.”
In his nearly 20 years in the industry, he has anchored various broadcast programmes that have stood him out as one of the most influential hosts in South West Nigeria.
His influence spans several radio programmes across multiple states in the country.
He anchors several prorgrammes on various radio stations, including Ogunrege on Bond 92.1 FM, Oro Ikoko on Adamimogo 93.1 FM, Egabni Elaja on Melody 107.7 FM, Ogunrege on Tungba 100.9, and Oro Ikoko on Miliki 101.3 FM.
After over a decade in broadcast journalism, Bewaji has impacted many young broadcasters and continues to inspire upcoming journalists in the field.
He has also enjoyed the patronage of various mentors, including Wale Lawal (Baba Promo), Prophet Samuel Adebayo Ojo (CEO, Melody 107.7 FM), Idowu Kajogbola, Chief Ominiwosan, Alhaja Atinuke Hamed, Aremu Rahji, Prince Odo Gbolahan, and Mayowa Ghana Boy.
