A Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Customary Court in Abuja has barred Ms Adaobi Alagwu, an Abuja-based lawyer, from parading herself as the wife of Tunde Ayeni, former chairman of Skye Bank.
The court ruled that there was no evidence of a marriage between Alagwu and Ayeni, contrary to her claims.
Ayeni had petitioned the court to declare that no marriage exists between him and Alagwu and that he is not the father of her daughter, Omarosa.
Ayeni denied being married to Alagwu and presented evidence of his legal marriage to his wife, Abiola, since 1994.
The court found that Alagwu had admitted to receiving a dowry from Ayeni, which was later refunded, indicating that no customary marriage existed between them.
