The petitioner told the court that her husband had left home for more than six months.
“He left me and our children for more than six months without caring for our wellbeing.
“It was after some months that I got to know he is cohabiting with another woman somewhere in Sango.
“I went there to confront him and he embarrassed me and even denied our children in the presence of the other woman. I reported the matter to his parents and they cautioned him.
“He agreed to come back home but he has refused to cater for our children’s welfare. I want this court to end this marriage so that I can start my life all over again because it is obvious he is no longer interested in the union, “she said.
The respondent, however, denied abandoning his family stating that he still cared for his children.
The court president, Akin Akiniyi adjourned the case till March 15 for hearing.
