AAPoly students elect new SUG executives

Students of the Ogun state-owned Abraham Adesanya Polytechnic, Ijebu-Igbo,  have elected new leaders that will pilot the affairs of their union for the next administrative year.
Tribune Online Campus Beat gathered that the election was held April 12 at the school premises amidst tight security.
Recall that the Students Union Government (SUG) of AAPOLY was suspended by the school authourity over the activities of the last leadership of the student, which involved embezzlement of funds.
The union was handed over to a caretaker committee which later agitated for an election that produced the new executives. 
Gbadamosi Azeez popularly called AZ however emerged President. Gbadamosi is a Higher National Diploma (HND) 2 student.
Gbadamosi was declared the winner after his 293 votes surpassed that of his opponent Adeniji Olaide, who had 279 votes.
Tribune Online Campus Beat can report that the election witnessed a huge turnout of students compared to previous years.
The election committee which was chaired by Mr Okulenu,  a lecturer of the institution announced the results in the presence of the various agents and available students.
In his announcement, Orelaja Omolewa won the post of the Vice President, Olaoye Oluwatobi won the post of the General Secretary,
Others include: Abiodun DAMILOLA as Assistant General Secretary, Oshoniyi Walui as Social Director, Adesanya Mayowa as Welfare Director, Onobanjo Damilola as Financial Secretary.
The treasurer is Cordelia Chinyemere while the Sports Director 1 is Lamina Faruq and Adefeso Abiodun. Sports Director 2
