Amid the ups and downs that are linked to the Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL), people are still great customers, and it continues to increase in popularity. The Brazilian butt lift is the fastest deadly growing cosmetic surgery in the world.
According to the American Society of plastic surgeons, 1 out of 3000 fatality rate is recorded every year. You can exercise your way to bigger, round, more chiseled glutes but it’s never like having a BBL. In this generation, it’s believed and accepted that beauty lies in the body of a woman, especially at her back.
A lot of ladies are faced daily with the issue of body shaming. The whispers of self-doubt and the echoes of body shaming led to the tale of empowerment and transformation.Â
The quest was simple, Brenda a chubby lady wanted a perfect buttock and body, as a young lady weary of the relentless pressure society places on appearance. Her journey to self-confidence begins with a decision that will alter both her exterior and her interior after seeing different people undergo the BBL body surgery and come out perfectly. For instance, Kim Kardashian West, Jennifer Lopez, and Nicki Minaj look on social media tells it all.
Brenda looks into the mirror, her reflection marred by insecurity cultivated by years of societal judgment. The looks and curves she wants are the opposite of what she can see in the mirror. She decides to take the bold step of undergoing the BBL. She brought out her laptop and searched BBL, Brazilian Butt Lift, at least to have knowledge about what she was going to do.
The journey began with her understanding better what it means. BBL is the removal of fat from other areas of the body to a desired part of the body, she read. It is an increase in the size and shape of the body without sagging or excess skin. It is normally known as SAFE SUBCUTANEOUS BUTT AUGMENTATION (SSBA) as surgeons say “The butt is not lifted but instead fat is added” even the Brazilian butt lift is done in other countries more than it is done in Brazil.
It is an art and science of sculpting the body, dance, and art that breathes life into her dream body. BBL is not just an art that takes just one process, scrolling through her laptop she searched for the procedure. She realised the surgeon will have to mark her body to confirm the areas of liposuction and fat grafting. Black marking for where the fat will be removed and red for the place the removed fat will be inserted.Â
She will be placed under anesthesia, so she won’t feel any pain. The surgeon will use a suction device attached to a small stainless steel instrument to make cuts in her body and insert the cannula into the fatty areas between her skin and muscle. Remove excess fat with a suction cannula and a large syringe. A large amount of fat is needed to perform the BBL, usually 300 ccs to 500 ccs (1 1/3 to 2 1/4 cups) on each side. The surgeon purifies the fat that’s removed and makes three to five small incisions in specific areas around her buttock. Inject the purified fat into the incisions around her buttock. The upper region of the butt receives most of the fat, and the middle of the butt receives less.Â
The purified fat is usually injected into the hypodermis (subcutaneous tissue) instead of the muscle. Finally, the surgeon stitches the liposuction and fat transfer incisions closed.Â
After the surgery, she will be wrapped with a compression band to reduce bleeding after surgery. Brenda might feel sore when she wakes up. The healthcare providers will continue to monitor the overall health for several hours. Once they determine she is fine, no need for monitoring, she will be discharged to go home with a friend who will stay with her for at least the first 24 hours.
Each day passing by will also need to bear witness to her body transformation and patience is the key. Sitting will become an exercise in restraint, she will not be able to rest on hard surfaces or lie down on a boat. Her recovery will come in three stages: the first few days, weeks, and months and it can take up to 3 to 6 months to heal totally.
It was noted that the complication and dangerous part of the BBL procedure is when the fat is injected into the wrong place, it is difficult to know where exactly they are injecting the fat, the inserting of fat back into the body is linked to a blind art. The butt contains many blood vessels and nerves, if the cannula strikes any of these structures during the surgery, it can lead to injury, fat embolism, or death.Â
Even if she wants the BBL so much, the consideration and requirements before she can get the surgery Brenda finds solace in the presence of Dr Ben, an expert in surgery who listens to her body aspiration with understanding.Â
The doctor is qualified and a member of many prestigious & exclusive organizations including the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS), the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), and the American College of Surgeons (ACS). He explained to her that she will need the sum of 5000 dollars above to get her dream body. He also explained that she will need to be more than 18 years with no medical complications or issues, doesn’t smoke, she is hale and healthy with enough fat in her body for the surgery.Â
Dr Ben opens up to Brenda on the potential risk, and the importance of a qualified surgeon to mitigate complications. They delve into the realities of infection, blood clots, and the importance of realistic expectations. He also made her understand the risk of how it’s inserted and how the quantity extracted and inserted matter a lot.Â
The journey of healing requires diligence. Brenda embraces a regimen of proper aftercare, nourishing her body with the right food, staying hydrated, and adhering to the guidance of her surgeon. She is advised to eat a high-protein diet to assist her healing. She will learn to listen to her body, allowing it to mend at its rhythm, and may also have to incorporate lower body exercises that focus on her butt.
Finally, BBL may be dangerous but it’s a safer procedure than butt implant, silicon, or hydrogel injection as these have quite a lot of complications, Sculptra lift, and liposuction.Â
For Brenda it wasn’t just about the big butt, but how she feels and looks. She fixed a date for the surgery with Dr Ben and left feeling more enlightened and happy.Â
