- Born on June 28, 1970, in Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria.
- He had his early education at Ibadan Christ Apostolic Grammar School where he got his Secondary School Certificate. Thereafter, he proceeded to the Federal Polytechnic Offa in Kwara State where he bagged his Ordinary National Diploma, (OND) in Business Management in the year 1995. After his OND programme, he left the shores of Nigeria to America where he was enlisted into the United States Navy. He attended the US Navy Construction Electrician School in 1996; the Basic Combat School Skill School in 1999; the Naval Seabee Construction Management 14 Specialist Course in the year 1999; the Seabee Combat Warfare; the US Navy Recruiting School in the year 2001 and the Naval Leadership School in the year 2004.
- In 2005, he bagged a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from the Columbian Southern University, Orange Beach, Alabama, United States of America.
- After spending more than a decade in the US Navy as a Construction Electrician including about four years as a Navy Recruiter and a Combat Warfare Specialist, he retired honourably from the United States Navy on a Military Medical Discharge in 2008 after many years of meritorious service.
- Abass Adigun is a two-term member representing Ibadan North-East/Ibadan South-East Federal Constituency of Oyo State on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) at the National Assembly and has sponsored many bills and moved many motions. He is renowned for his transformative empowerment programmes and other infrastructural projects, which have ranked him as one of the top-performing lawmakers in Nigeria.
