Charles Awuzie, founder of Big Brain Naija reality television show, has unveiled the logo of the show and how he plans to execute it.
The Nigerian South African-based businessman and founder/CEO of Gemsbok Group, made this known during the Evolve Conference he recently hosted in Abuja.
He stated that Big Brain Naija – currently being registered in three countries including Nigeria and worth N50 million – is an intellectual but entertaining reality TV show that will cause a massive mental revolution in the psyche of Nigerian youths.
“You can picture it as a house made up of the smartest brains in the country, who create drama while solving the most difficult problems intellectually,” Awuzie said.
He emphasised that they are not competing with Big Brother (BB) Naija. Rather, they are only creating an indigenous and intellectual alternative.
“Big Brain Naija will not be owned by one man. We are assembling Nigeria’s best entrepreneurs to create a truly Nigerian reality show that reflects our culture, intelligence, resilience, creativity, and productivity as a people,” he said.
Awuzie stated that they are in talks with DStv and a few digital streaming services as regards the show. He added that they will build a streaming app for the show that will reduce data consumption while maintaining a good user experience.
Last month, when the TV show was announced, many Nigerians – including business people and Abia State governor – declared interest in it.
Some suggested that the show should be hosted in Abia, the state Awuzie is from.
