Ana Obregón reveals the baby she recently welcomed via surrogate is the biological daughter of her late son, Aless, who died of cancer at 27 in May 2020

Ana Obregón is clearing up rumors that she’s become a mom for the second time at 68.

According to Ana Obregón in an interview with the socialite publication Hola!, her son Aless Lequio Garca, who passed away from cancer in 2020, was advised by doctors to save sperm samples before receiving treatment.

According to the Associated Press, his samples were kept in New York.”This girl is not my daughter, but my granddaughter,” Obregón told ¡Hola! “It was Aless’ last wish to bring a child into the world.

“In a surrogacy arrangement, the woman consents to carry the kid, whether by a couple or a single parent, so that the other person can raise it. The sperm cell may come from the biological father, but IVF, or in vitro fertilization, also allows for artificial insemination using fertilised eggs and a surrogate.

Although it is forbidden in Spain, children born through surrogacy abroad can nonetheless be registered. The process, according to Obregón, took three years because of legalities.

The actress posted the magazine cover to Instagram along with a note paying tribute to his kid.
“My Aless: I broke my promise to prevent cancer from spreading to you. She is in my arms now, as I promised you I’d bring your daughter into the world,” she wrote in Spanish.

She continued, “When I hold her, it’s unexplainable because it feels like I’m touching you again. “You will assist me from heaven, and I will care for her with the boundless love I have to give.”

She said, “Your daughter is the love of my life here on earth, and you are the love of my life in heaven.” “I adore you utterly. Mom.”
