61st anniversary: College of Animal Health Ibadan to graduate 820 students

The Federal College of Animal Health and Production Technology, Ibadan, will graduate 820 students as part of activities marking its 61st anniversary.

To create more awareness about the event, the institution organized a roadshow across Ibadan on Wednesday. Some of the areas covered included Apata, Iyaganku, Dugbe, Mokola, Agodi Gate, Beere, Oja Oba, and Challenge.

Provost of the college, Dr. Adekoya Olatunde Owosibo, said the anniversary theme is “Bridging Past and Future: Advancing Animal Production and Health Through Science, Technology, and Policy in Nigeria.”

He explained that the roadshow was meant to highlight the college’s role in education and inform the public about the convocation ceremonies for the 2023/2024 academic session.

“This roadshow is to create more awareness about the college, our 61st-anniversary celebration, and the convocation ceremonies for the 2023/2024 academic session,” Owosibo said.

The institution, established in 1964, continues to play a key role in training professionals for Nigeria’s agricultural and animal health sector.
