As part of efforts to ensure financial independence within his immediate community, the National President of Oodua Peoples Congress (reformed), Ambassador Dare Adesope, has empowered 50 of his members with one hundred thousand naira each as a capitals kick off in Abeokuta, Ogun State in furtherance of his commitment to creating real change within his immediate environment.

Adesope, a man known for his commitment in fighting for the security of his people and passionate in caring for them in order to create real change where it matters most, based on his watchword of “survival to sustainability” called on the government, private sector leaders and all stakeholders to partner and make life easy on the people in this era of economic hardship.

He added that this is why he is committed to playing his own part, adding that this is why I have made it my lifes mission to empower our people. Today, I am Ambassador Dare Adesope, President General, OPC reformed worldwide; it is not just to be a leader alone but to also be able to ease the burdens and the restore hope of my people. I am calling on all Nigerians, stakeholders committed to better life for people and members of the community, to contribute their little quota to give people helping hands, no matter how small.

“Many people work hard but earn too little. Youths with dreams have no tools to work and families burdened and finding survival difficult. Today, we reaffirm that commitment through our initiatives, this is the third edition. The program started in Lagos two years ago and we are holding the third here in Abeokuta.

“I am not just a security advocate, but a man deeply committed to uplifting lives and it is with great humility and a strong sense of responsibility that I always happy to give out to people. When we started the empowerment in Lagos, our aim was to equip more individuals with vocational training, startup support, health access and community-building projects,” he said.

He however expressed the belief that true progress cannot be achieved alone, emphasizing that “I therefore use this moment to let us know that together, we can amplify impact. We can reach more people. We can move from members, not just with words, but with real support in skills and resources. Let us stop waiting for change. Let us be the change together. Over the years, I have witnessed the struggles of our people mothers who work tirelessly to fulfill their life ambition and also to feed their families”
