Earlier, the Prosecutor, Sgt. Michael Unah told the court that the defendants accosted one Miss Mary Olalowo with a knife and stole her valuables worth N56,000.
Unah said that the defendants committed the offences with some others still at large on June 14 at 5.00 a.m. on U-Turn Road, Abule Egba, Lagos.
He submitted that the defendants conducted themselves in a manner likely to cause a breach of the peace by threatening to kill the complainant with a knife.
“The complainant was on her way to work when the defendants suddenly bumped into her with a knife.
“They stole an Itel phone worth N26,000, her handbag valued at N5,000 and a sum of N25,000, all totalling N56,000.
“She raised alarm and with the help of passersby, the defendants were caught, while the others escaped,” the prosecutor said.
The prosecutor said the offences violated Sections 168, 287 and 411 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State 2015, (Revised).
